IRS Extends Filing Deadline

The IRS recently announced that the filing deadline for 2006 has been extended to April 17, 2007. This decision applies to 2006 federal individual income tax returns, whether electronic or paper; requests for automatic six-month tax-filing extensions; 2006 balance due payments; tax-year 2006 contributions to a Roth or traditional IRA.
